Jordonna recently experienced her first trip to the dentist. Normally we would have gone to Dentistry4Children, but with all the dental work Tony has had done lately and the awesome job Dr. Bell and his staff have done with Tony I thought we could save a trip and clean teeth here.
So before going back to see Mommy get her teeth cleaned, Jordonna and I read a book all about Critter going to the dentist. (Probably not the best example on clean teeth?) Jordonna sat right next to me the entire time and watched me get my teeth cleaned and polished. Then it was here turn. They hygienist was so patient with her and told her about all the tools and let her hold them. Jordonna was not too sure about any of it.
She wanted Jordonna to put "Mr. Sucky" in her mouth to see how it worked. I LOVE the look on Jordonna's face. It clearly says, "You want me to do what with this thing? Are you out of your mind??"
By the end of the conversation and demonstration (because let's be honest that's what it ended up being..and a very expensive one I might add), Jordonna finally let her count her teeth. You may notice the death grip Jordonna has on my scarf which is the reason for the awkward position of the picture. We will try again now that Jordonna adores Disney's Doc McStuffins because since this show going the doctor is so much easier, I am hoping it's the same for the dentist.
