Some nights I just feel like I have nothing else I could possible cook that my family or myself are just not sick and tired of. Well, Richard was given a Honeybaked Ham from his company for Thanksgiving. Of course ham is not on the top of Richard's favorite list, so while he worked late, the boys and I had a nice ham for dinner. Not Richard's favorite...but hits the #1 spot with Tony. While on the way home from work and running errands, this is the conversation we had:
Tony: What's for dinner?
Mom: Ham
Tony: I like ham
Mom: I know and we are having mac and cheese with it
Tony: RACARONI CHEESE!! YUMMMMM
Mom: and what about green beans
Tony: DINNER WINNER!
Of the million of things I cook, I have to be given a free ham, open a box of noodles to get a winner?? I try too hard, I think?
To top off our "Dinner Winner" dinner Josh made us homemade biscuits. No, not the pop the can open at home homemade. And no, not mixing Bisquick. He actually measured out the flour, eggs, shortening, salt, milk, etc. ; rolled them out and cut them out. They actually were very good. Reminded me of Cracker Barrel biscuits. Too bad I didn't think to take a picture, because we all know how seldom we see him in the kitchen.
Tonight is a homemade beef stew...I don't think Tony will call this one a winner. It has carrots in it.
