While I have had this time off enjoying our new baby girl, I have been a bit creative. Now I must give some credit where credit is due. I have a dear friend who is VERY creative and I used her. Liz is such a teacher! She gave me the ideas, told me what to do, showed me what to do (you know all that hands on, auditory teaching stuff we teachers do) and then she made ME do it. She didn't do it for me, just showed me. I think my students sometimes forget this part of the lesson. We teach them but we don't do it for them. (Okay, off the soap box!) Anyways, she gave me a wonderful idea for Jordonna's birth announcements which turned out super cute. I am debating on posting a pic because then it would ruin the surprise of when they come in the mail, granted there are many different styles. Then I decorated (again with lessons from Liz) the cutest "J" for Jordonna's room.
And now I am in the process (on my own since Liz left for a short vacation in Colorado) of making my own thank you notes to send out.
The glittery paper was a trail. I wasn't sure how well it would stamp, if it would stamp at all. Well it does stamp and it doesn't come out very dark. It didn't seem to be drying either. Just for kicks, I sprayed it with hairspray! Guess what...it got darker, and it dried. It is supposed to say "Thank You" under the feet, but Liz has that stamp. We will finish that part as soon as she comes home. Hurry home, Liz!
And last but not least, I finished her tutu that Aunt Kendra started for us. We added more tulle and we now just have to make Emri's and Kennedy Fulton's tutu. (You can see the fuller tutu on the corner of her dresser.)

Very creative! I love being "crafty." There is still one spot in Gabriel's room that is screaming for something, but I haven't figured out what it should be yet. Hopefully inspiration will hit me when he arrives. Oh, and I loved all of the pictures you posted on Facebook. :)
