Where does it end?

This past week it seems that juggling my housework, my job, and a larger family has taken its toll on me. I have commented to a couple of friends that it just doesn't all ever get done. Do I fold laundry or do the dishes? Do I help in the yard or sweep and mop floors? Do I grade papers and plan lessons or go to my sons' baseball games? Granted perhaps if I didn't pile so much on myself it wouldn't all seem so hard. This week I made retirement invitations for our sweet secretary at school, birthday invites for Tony's birthday party, and finish our flowerbeds. All the while, I'd say the house stayed tidy. (Didn't say spik and span clean, just tidy). Dinner was cooked each night, the million bags it takes to get me out the door each morning were packed and ready to go each day, and clothes were clean and ironed for us (again, never said the clothes were folded, but I did manage to iron what I drug out of the basket). I do know there are mom's that get it all done and then there are mom's who give it all up. I just wonder if all mom's give up in some areas to enjoy a few precious moments of their children after being gone from them all day? Tonight I amazed myself, - we had friends over for dinner, I made cabbage rolls while tonights dinner was cooking and a baked a cake for us to enjoy after dinner. All the kids had baths before dinner and once again bags for tomorrow are packed and ready to go. And right before I head to bed to I am finding time to blog. WOW! Perhaps I should have used these free moments to fold the mountain of laundry behind me. But why do that, I already found clothes for tomorrow for everyone :) I'll get to it tomorrow. We get a break from baseball this week because of TAKS - there's one good thing about TAKS! Each friend I have confided in has told me to make time for myself before I totally feel defeated...that's why I blog, scrap, and soon hope to learn to make hair bows - all to add more to my plate!!

Hang in there, Sandra. Not too much longer and it's summer. If you ever need something don't hesitate to call. :)
