She’s Cute! She’s Sweet! Our Little cupcake is 1!

In the Consilio household, we celebrate Groundhog’s Day BIG! Okay, actually we are celebrating Jordonna’s birthday, but everyone else has to always throw in the groundhog joke, so I figured I’d just go with it. You know the poor girl will have to live with that the rest of her life.

Jordonna started walking a little more than a week before her first birthday. I was out of town for her actual birth day, but we had all her friends and family over on Saturday to celebrate with yummy food, fellowship and LOTS of cupcakes.

So to briefly break down the past year: Jordonna has learned to wrap her Daddy around her little finger; the same goes for older brothers. She stands at the bottom of the stairs and yells up at each of them by name to come downstairs. She loves being outside, the swing being her favorite. Her favorite foods are tomatoes and asparagus, bananas and strawberries, fish. Oh, who am I kidding, the girl’s favorite thing to do is eat so this list could go on forever so we can just leave it at that. She is completely girly girl, as much as her brothers had hoped she would be tomboy. (It could very well still happen, but this past year she hasn’t proven to be.) She loves her baby (which she calls Mama). She likes to gather all her shoes into a pile and “try” them all on. Nonnie made Jordonna a special birthday skirt and as soon as Jordonna tried it on, she started twirling her hips and giggling. If that’s not girly, I must be confused! This past week, when I picked up Jordonna from Mrs. Debbie’s, she was “taking care” of her baby who was laying on the kitchen playset stove and Jordonna had a bowl and spoon and feeding the baby. As for growth, she is 20.8 lbs. I had to laugh at her one year visit because Dr. B tells me, “She is in the 50% for weight, 25% for height, and 95% for the circumference of her head. I already knew she had a big head just from trying to get her cowgirl outfit on her. Now I have the numbers to prove it – it’s not all in my head!
