...underneath the moon! I LOVE SHOES!!
I do believe this is the song that goes through Jordonna's head all hours of the day. She is nuts about shoes!!! She wakes up in the morning, pops her head up and starts calling "Momma" and as soon as I reach her, she asks "Shoes?" If she is not still wearing her shoes from the night before (because YES she goes to bed with them) then they are not too far - usually on the window sill near her bed on nights when I can sneak the shoes off her feet after falling asleep. We put shoes on before a clean diaper! As soon as we have shoes we can tend to other things. Then as I get dressed for work, Jordonna sits in my closet and pulls all my shoes off the shelf and surrounds herself in shoes. At least until she finds the perfect pair for the morning and trades her shoes for mommy's.
This past weekend, she got to wear Aunt Kendra's pink high heels. This week, high heels have been a preference of our new morning routine. Yesterday, Jordonna spent the evening with a friend who tried to take off Jordonna's shoes when she started to doze off. Jordonna woke up crying for her shoes. They were quickly replaced and back to Snoozeville she went! Don't mess with a girls shoes!
As for me, if having plenty of shoes in my closet will keep her happy and I can easily get dressed for work each morning, then I do believe I am in need of SHOES!!
