We have had so much rain that the creek is out of its banks. The boys have been walking down to the creek to go fishing. I have had to work and one afternoon, the boys had talked their PawPaw into bringing over the canoe for them to put in the water and put out lines. Josh called me after their first trip so excited that they actually had accomplished it. I was laughing and talking about the memories they were making with their friends when the secretary in our office says, "Yeah, I saw them pulling the canoe down the road but didn't say anything in case you weren't aware of what they were doing." Tony wants to be just like his older brothers and begs and pleads every time they load up and head down to the water for them to take him too. They had a blast using the canoe until dragging the canoe down to the creek every time was very tiring. So they then convinced me that the canoe could easily go on Richard's truck and they could catch a ride to the water. That was until they had to talk Tony down out of the truck determined not to be left behind. Tony did finally get to take a ride in the canoe with them but that was the only one. He quickly decided that it wasn't as fun at this age as it was at 14 and 16.
Tony you have to get off the truck!
This boat is a bit longer than expected - keep pushing it this way. A little more. A little more... Nevermind we will sit back here! Go slow mom, it's hanging over, at least we aren't pulling it on the cart.
