This place is AMAZING!!
Originally, when we left the house this afternoon, the plan was to pick strawberries and have lunch. Who would think that picking strawberries would cause a traffic jam. After sitting in line for 20 minutes to just get to the parking lot at the farm, we turned around googled Sky Zone Houston. I had heard about this for the past couple of months, but really wanted to avoid driving all the way into Houston. I was pleasantly surprised how close it was - just right off the Beltway so I would never even get into any Houston traffic. (Navigator on my phone is pretty awesome, too!) We stopped for lunch at Pei Wei (highlight of the week for me) My kids loved their food, my food, and even some of the Lopez's. So glad they don't take after their daddy when it comes to anything resembling Chinese food.
Finally we arrive at Sky Zone, sign in but have to wait until 3:00 to jump. Opps - thankfully we are closer to home than we thought we would be so we can still get Dacoda home for baseball in time. While the kids are waiting their hour before their jump time, they searched out and studied all their was to do...a large foam pit where you have to jump across 3 trampolines before landing in the pit, basketball dunk across 2 trampolines, 100's of trampolines to just JUMP and JUMP and JUMP, and 2 courts of dodgeball on trampolines. Emri and Jordonna also had a special area for just their size - 8 trampolines that not one other kid was using! Let me just say that the girls got in some extra jump time since the toddler area was empty all afternoon. As soon as 3:00 hit, the kids were gone! The boys did the foam pit a few times, dunked a few baskets and then we were off to the main jump area. This place is not only amazing, they do an amazing job on keeping everyone safe. They only allow 1 person to jump per trampoline that they have, 1 person on each trampoline at a time unless jumping across. The walls have trampolines to bounce off of. The boys even found a long runner trampoline that they used to learn how to do flips. The main jump area starts at one end with the smallest jumpers and circles around to the other side for the larger (adult- teenage) jumpers. At the end of our hour, they all (including the girls) wanted to jump (flip) into the foam pit one last time. I was ready with my camera to record Tony's flip. Following Tony was Jordonna and she surprised us all when she flipped into the pit as well.
As I said, this place was amazing. The quite ride home while 4 kids slept was sweet, too!
*Check back for video because I can't seem to find them on my computer - must still be on my phone.)
