We were concerned that it would be a total fail because I refused to pay the $20 to run an ad in the local paper. Instead, Tony and I put up 2 signs - one at each end of our road, as long as you turned on our road, you can't miss us. And with a location like that, without advertising, you get crowds like this. This was on Friday. Saturday we had the best advertisement because the church across the street set up shop as well. All of their business just walked over to us - HA!
To keep us occupied, Kennedy agreed to let me take her picture - she just didn't realize I was going to give her a mustache. The mustache is not hers, but those teeth are. I smile every time I see this because it just was the perfect placement with her smile. LOL!!
I waited until we were finished on Saturday to count my profits. I knew I had handed my husband $200 starting that morning out, but to get a final total that afternoon we were shocked. Of course the list of things needed are always a mile long, haircut was #1 on that list. My husband agreed to check the prices of tablets for me to use while finishing my masters. I had no idea I would actually get to leave with an ipad. It is making my job so much easier and the productivity level is much higher because I no longer have to set aside time to go back to my office and write up observations. And really - it is just so cool! Sadly, Jordonna has taught me a few things on how to use the thing - like a 4 finger swipe to move between apps and pulling all 5 fingers to close the current app. She runs Caillou on You Tube like a pro! She is 3, right? Our favorite app's so far though are air hockey (yes we have been seen in a restaurant playing air hockey on the iPad - it is a heated competition between us all!) and the Magic Piano - makes me miss playing.
