Another Day of Firsts

This morning I had my pre-op for my surgery which is scheduled for Monday morning. I had debated on leaving the kids at home with a sitter or having PawPaw come over, but I hated to call and ask anyone to come that early in the morning for what I thought would be less than an hour, so the kids tagged along with me. According to the hospital registration, I was 30 minutes late but they saw me anyways (apparently a mix up with communication from them to the doctors office to me) and I was in and out in 15 minutes! Of course Jordonna decided she wants to eat during this time. I had prepared a bottle for her before we left the house, but for the first time in 4 kids I DIDN'T PUT A NIPPLE IN THE BOTTLE!! Thankfully, her left over juice bottle from the night before was in her bag so we switched out bottles and the diaper bag is soaking in the sink to clean up the spilt milk. Since we had already gotten up early, were out and about, I felt I needed to do something else besides drive to the hospital and back. Tony saw a park on the way home and said he wanted to play at that park. WHAT A GREAT IDEA! It was still early in the morning so it was not too hot and the park was empty and had great shade for the baby. Tony went to play, Jordonna napped in her stroller, and Mommy joined in with Tony and played castle. Somehow I was sent away to the small castle while Tony got the big castle and got to "shop" in the mall tower (Can you tell this kid hangs out with me too much?) Soon enough I heard the cries of the queen and I went to rescue her. Jordonna loves being outside and was smiling ear to ear as she explored her surroundings on her first trip to the park. Tony then held her in his lap and they went down the slide together. The smile and small giggles coming from her were priceless and I am sad that I had left my camera sitting in front on the computer from the night before. We will have to make a trip back to the park with a camera in tow to share with everyone!

Friday we are going to Discovery Green with our friends Tara, Jackson, and Kennedy and then heading over to the Children's Museum after our picnic lunch. I promise I won't forget the camera Friday!

I love that I am home with them right now and enjoying each day with them. I hope Tony remembers these times we spend together!
