This evening just as a last minute decision, I decided to take Tony to play in the interactive fountains at the library. Richard needed to study for his masters test that he is taking on Friday, so it was perfect timing since he had just came home and was getting ready to study. We loaded up Jordonna with a quilt for her to play on while Tony ran through the water, changed Tony's shorts, grabbed a beach towel and headed out the door. We first had to make a stop at Redbox to return movies and of course we passed the Red Snocones (as Tony calls them). I always use the excuse that the line is too long and if you know this place, any line longer than 5 people is going to take some time! Tony immediately tells me there's no line, so we stop and get snocones. Two stops down and NOW we are really headed to the fountain. We arrive and since it is 6pm and the fountain closes at 7, we have the entire place to ourselves. Tony gets out and runs straight to the water. I lay out Jordonna's quilt, get our snocones out of the car, get Jordonna settle on her quilt and ready my camera. Film for about 30 seconds, but it is only Tony screaming he wants to go home because it's too cold. Really? Its July 100 degree weather and you are screaming it's too cold?? So I get Jordonna and go to put her feet in, Tony bites and runs off laughing as if he really does want to stay. But not 5 seconds later he's back with the same declaration but this time he "for reals" wants to go home. Okay! We load everything back into the car. Around 6:15 this evening, that noise you might possibly have heard would have been Jordonna screaming about going back into her car seat so soon after being taken out to play outside. As we are pulling out of the parking lot, Tony tells me, "That was a fun day, Mom!" Me: "Really, because it was only like 10 minutes and you were ready to leave?" Tony, with the biggest grin on his face: "Yeah! It was like 5 minutes! Can I have the rest of your snocone?"
That kid makes me laugh! Sorry to say but no pics since it was only a 30 second video I was able to get.

I guess we can be grateful for the times that our children are easily entertained (not easy for us by any means) because there are days when it's not so easy.
