The Youngest Who in Whooville EVER

Every Christmas, our church puts on the production of The Gronch (a Christian twist to Dr. Seuss' The Grinch).  For the past 5 or 6 years all participants in the children's choir have been 5 years old or older.  One Sunday morning on our way in, Mrs. Wade stopped us and asked for the boys to sign up, but they refused.  Jordonna immediately said she wanted to do it, so Mrs. Wade signed her up.  I tried my best to explain that she is just too young and that we will have to wait a few years.  She assured us that it was just fine that she be in the children's choir.

Today was our first practice and everyone kept mentioning how Jordonna would be the youngest Who ever in Whooville.  I stayed very close to the stage fearing she was get scared and run off - I wanted her to know exactly where we were sitting.  Pastor Brad explained that Who's were the happiest people and they had to have big smiles.  Jordonna pasted one on from ear to ear until she started singing and trying to keep up with the hand motions.  But for 3 years old, she kept right up with the older kids!  Even when Pastor Brad would stick his tongue out and make funny faces to have everyone smile, she kept right on copying his motions, tongue and all - HA!

The first 2 or 3 rounds of "Go Tell It On A Mountain", she didn't sing, but by the 4th time, she was singing louder than anyone.  The next morning she was still singing and reciting everyone else's lines.  If anyone in the children's choir needs an understudy, I have the name of someone for you!

And in other drama news, Jordonna's ballet teacher stopped me after class the other day and said that Jordonna was too advanced to be in the group she is in.  She is engaged the entire class time and helps the other students.  She would really like to see her move up to the next class.  Jordonna is very excited to dance with the big girls and get to do TAP in addition to ballet!!
