Big Red

Big Red is a junior.  He is in his 3rd year of golf.  Big Red's mom is the Vice President for the golf booster club.  The other Big Red bought this Big Red golf clubs for Christmas.  We just had to go pick them up.  By the way, Big Red is Joshua!  You ask where this name came from?  Well, at the beginning of the year, all the golfers were dumped into the 3 golf classes without any ranking on teams.  The golf coach was new so he didn't know that Josh ended up in the freshman class as a junior.  Josh really didn't mind, as long as he was playing and being on the freshman team meant more tournaments for him.  However, Josh is 6'2" and next to freshman boys who have yet to grow he is BIG.  Then, put a size 12 Nike on his foot, a bright red Nike...he quickly goes from just being BIG to being BID RED.  All the freshman boys wanted Big Red on their team when they would group up on the practice green.  Josh enjoyed the attention and didn't push to get his schedule changed.  Coach let it go but insisted at semester he would have to move up.  We have now moved up to having practice at the golf course every evening until 5pm.  PawPaw went with us to make sure the clubs that "Santa" bought were the correct fit for Big Red.  It was a fun Saturday of watching these two guys hit a few balls, each swing an attempt to do better than the other.  Josh is enjoying his new clubs.  I would, too, if I could swing 85+ mph with a distance anywhere between 190 yds to 234 yds!
