Disney on Ice

When you can get $10 tickets in an arena that really doesn't have any bad seats and the parking is free at the front door, it is really hard to pass up.  Same thing happened this past summer when we took the kids to the circus (and after looking I apparently never wrote about that experience with the kids).  Anyways, my dad does security for Reliant on the side and is there pretty much every event.  He will park us and with the discounted tickets it's an inexpensive evening.  Just don't get suckered by the programs at the door like Nonnie did - they sell them afterwards for $5 instead of the $10.  And I'm pretty sure I turned white as a ghost and slipped out of my chair a bit when the vendor told me that the cotton candy my daughter desperately wanted was $12.  But no worries - Tony got a souvenir with the program and Jordonna got a crown with stickers for her to decorate from the cotton candy.

Tony always hates when we take him to "girlie" things.  This Disney on Ice was the story of 4 of the princesses.  When Jordonna saw each princess come out she giggled, smiled, and bounced on my lap.  She was in heaven.  Tony didn't move in his seat the entire night - he was a captive audience.  As Belle finished her story, we left before Mickey gave the closing remarks.  I had a long day at work and had not eaten all day and it was a school night.  But it was well worth it, a first for Nonnie, the kids, and me.
