Her Easter Dress

I LOVE, absolutely love that my mom makes my daughter's dresses for special occasions. She gets Christmas dresses like no one elses. She gets birthday dresses that no one else can buy in a store, and of course there is always the wonderful Easter dresses. And I love that Jordonna can tell you that her Nonnie made her dresses. She puts them on and twirls around and tells everyone, "My Nonnie dress!"
This morning in Sunday school, the ladies asked her to twirl around and of course she did. She was just so sassy walking in with her purse on her shoulder, and swaying her dress from side to side. I went back to ask them to be sure she put her purse in her bag so she wouldn't lose any of her tiny toys in her purse. I saw them looking closely at her dress and turning the ends up. I asked if something happened to her dress. No, they just wanted to know who had made it. I told them to check the pants - there was a tag. It says "Made with love by Nonnie" Yeah, you can't have one of these - only Jordonna!

As much as Jordonna loves her "Nonnie dresses", she will NOT put one on if it was not her idea. We have to just leave it laying around and when she sees it, she will ask to wear it. Today we tried to get it off of her because she wanted to eat a chocolate cupcake. She decided the cupcake wasn't as good as wearing her Easter dress.

Jordonna's 1st Easter dress swallowed her and she was just dress. Last year, I put the dress on her backwards (sorry it looked right either way, there wasn't a tag to help me out!), but this year was my favorite Easter dress! (Yeah, I know we've only had 3 of them, but I LOVED THIS ONE!!)

Even though, the cupcake wasn't worth changing dresses earlier today, it was doable once she realized I had taken her birthday dress as a change of clothes for Sunday School, so she put that one on to get the cupcake - not sure if it was really any better to eat a cupcake in this one either? That's ok, Nonnie works hard on these special dresses so the more she can wear them the better.

Thank you, mom for all the love you put into her "Nonnie dresses."
