Really, already?? 10 years?? That's how long I have been in BISD. I received my 10 year pin at yesterday's awards reception. In the past 10 years, I taught over 450 students, written over 10,000 lesson plans, attended over 2,500 hours of staff development, coached close to 400 teachers, specialized in 1 subject area for 7 grade levels, and loved absolutely every minute of it. The past 3 years have been amazing as I mentor the science teachers through peer coaching. While this upcoming year I am expanding that to include all subject areas, I am looking forward to the impact I will have on my 3 assigned campuses as their instructional coach.
This past April I also went back to Lamar to complete my master that I started 4 years ago right before we found out I was pregnant with Jordonna. So as I finish this next goal in my career, I'm curious and will patiently wait to see what my next 10 years holds for me.
