Happy Mother's Day

We picked up the two little ones from school and sitter on Friday and they both had special suprises for me for Mother's Day.  Tony had a couple of cards and coupons for me to use.  Jordonna made a necklace, cookies, and decorated a pot for her special flower.

 I worked Saturday, but I returned home I was greeted with homemade flowers and paintings the kids did while I was gone.  They all let me sleep in Sunday morning before going to church.  They all came in to tell me "Happy Mother's Day."  When asked what I wanted to do today I couldn't really think of anything particular because I had already had a great weekend celebrating my anniversary. 

But they did not fail me - we went out to eat after church and then I relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon while the kids swam and Richard mowed and later took Tony to the movies.  While Jordonna was swimming I asked her the "My mom is..." questions. 

Here are her responses for this year:

My mom is 4 years old.
My mom weighs 4 pounds.
My mom's favorite color is purple and pink.
My mom's favorite food is McDonald's. (YUCK! Really??)
My mom always says Chick-fil-a.  (I guess if you ask me what I want to eat then yes I might always say that.)
My mom cooks the best macaroni and cheese.
My mom's job is by my brother's school.
My mom laughs when I make funny faces.
If my mom had time, she would like to swim. (someone must have wanted a swim partner in her tiny pool.)
My mom and I like to swim.
My mom really loves my daddy.
I love my mom because I love my mom.

Dylan stopped by to say hi after church and Josh joined us for lunch and didn't touch his cell phone the entire time we were having lunch.  I did ask him what I make the best of - his answer was McDonald's too.  Last time I checked I cook every night, pretty much.  I spend entirely too much time in the kitchen if McDonald's is what I cook best! Great!  My goal as mom this year - to gain some weight.  4 pounds must be unhealthy, right??
