This past week I moved out of my current office and began the transition to my new office. Our entire suite will eventually move to a new office, just the coaches are moving out of the building. Well, we had a few items that were communal...one being a water cooler/jug/stand that a former co-worker left last summer. This past year it got the most use from another co-worker who left mid year. So as we began to move things out and around, I asked if anyone was interested in it and if not I would like to have it. Well it is mine now. With my diet and training, I wanted to be sure to drink plenty of water and hoped this would be one way to do that. First things first though - it desperately needed a make over. I was not positive the makeover I had envisioned in my head would work out so I didn't take before pics. So to give you an idea of what I DID NOT want in my new office...
Off to Walmart to purchase 2 cans of spray paint - one a greyish khaki and one a glossy black. After some sanding to get rid of the glossy-ness on the crock and the stand, I was ready to paint. The crock got a coat of the greyish khaki and the stand is black. I cut out a scrolling leaf/flower from my Cricut on black vinyl to place on both sides.
SOOOO much better now. Only problem is now my husband wants it to stay in the house - not go to my office. I kinda feel the same way, but I painted this to match my new office. It needs to go there for awhile. I promised if I don't use it as intended to get my daily water intake that I would bring it home. Either place it ends up, I like the changes!
