Part 2 to my peace and quiet
I left for Austin on Tuesday afternoon (2 hours late since we found a nail in the tire and had to fix it before leaving town) Anyways, since I was gone all week, and the grandparents don't like when I leave Richard home alone with all the boys, my parents took their turn, and packed up all 3 boys and took them on their church building trip and camping. Like I said, I didn't leave until Tuesday. They left on Saturday morning. Richard worked both Saturday and Sunday. Do I need to tell you that I was in my pj's and read my book ALL day on Saturday? I DID NOTHING! I feel refreshed and was ready for my trip. They will return home from camping on Saturday afternoon, which means, I still have a few hours of peace and quiet, child free when I return home from Austin on Friday. I haven't heard much about their trip, since everytime I call, Tony has either fallen asleep or "he's camping" and he can't talk to me. Yes, this is what I get told each time I call that he is awake. They call him to talk, and he informs everyone, "I can't talk to her, I'm camping!" Forget my 4 year old living in a digital world that stays connected. Her is reverting to the old days, roughing it camping, no cell phone! I have heard from a little birdy, not Tony, that he did sneak out to go watch the adults play dominoes, he held a baby alligator that his brother was too scared to hold, and he wants to know what happened to his Nonnie's peepee. If she doesn't have one like Granddaddy and PawPaw, what did she do to it? I'll let her tell him. Anyways, I wanted give an update on their camping trip. I have work to do. My presentation for the Texas Regional Collaborative Conference is on Friday and I just realized when I got here that I had not put it into powerpoint, only word. To top that off, my laptop did not have powerpoint. The fun part is now I get to learn Mac and transfer my word document to powerpoint. I will let you know how everything, including my presentation turns out. Good night everyone!
