Happy Birthday, ME!

It is my birthday today, and better yet this week has been my birthday week. I've heard of people celebrating for the entire month, even the week, but for me alot of times birthdays were just another day with a cake and dinner out thrown in, and sometimes even a trip to retrieve my husband off the side of the road stranded and pull him home with my truck! (Yes, true story. A few years ago, I was all dressed up, ready to go to dinner and I'm waiting and waiting. Finally about 2 hrs later, I get a phone call that he is broken down on the side of the road. I was told to find a tow rope we had in the garage and head to Houston to pick him up. Happy Birthday, ME!)

This year; however, made up for it all! On Friday before my birthday, my supervisor and office partner took me to lunch at Red Lobster AND WE GOT DESSERT! YUMMO!! They also gave me gift cards to get a very long overdo haircut and to get a mani AND pedi. How super is that! I was pretty excited and it wasn't even May 25 yet. That afternoon, my husband took me to get new shoes for the summer and I found Jordonna a super cute pair of white sandals that only cost $2. (I consider a coupon like that a birthday gift, wouldn't you?)
Happy Birthday, ME! included:

* I had the week off - Happy Birthday, ME! (Before you - teachers - get to jealous - I work all of June!)
* Wednesday morning (May 25!) my husband took all the kids to school and I slept until 10am -

* My mom took me to lunch and the waitress bought us chocolate wontons - Happy Birthday, ME!
* Went and got my toes and nails done after lunch - Happy Birthday, ME!
* A friend volunteered to watch the two little ones so my husband and I could go to dinner - Happy Birthday, ME!
*My husband took me to dinner at Giovannis - Happy, HAPPY Birthday, ME! (I had the salad AND a cup of soup. The soup was substitute for my dessert - it is that good.)
*Thursday, I had a quite day at the house and did some baking and scrapbooking. Then got my haircut that afternoon - Happy Birthday, ME! continued.
* And top off the week with a End of Year party with some of my co-workers, which was nice to get away by myself and enjoy time with friends - Happy Birthday, ME!

So, yeah, great WEEK for a birthday. It's been a good one. I hope this is an indication of how great this year will be?
