Jordonna is at a stage that she is just so busy all the time, VERY much sassy, diva, drama, and oh so girly that I want to bottle her up and have it forever.
The List of Sassy In Our House:
* Today she woke up sick, but after she felt better she brings me her baby and says, “Mommy wrap my baby. She is crying and is sick.” Glad she is feeling better so she can take care of her babies. I should mention the head tilt we get with these comments.
* After her nap, the baby doll was brought to me again and she says, “This baby will not take a nap.” Like Mommy, like baby????
* Yesterday she hid Josh’s phone in one of my mom’s purses she was playing with. Josh asked her I don’t know how many times where the phone was, she just says, “I don’t know.” (again with the head tilt and hands in the air in such a way to say do you not understand I’m not going to tell you!) I finally stepped in to help. I ask J if she has Josh’s phone. She sticks both hands out and looks at them both a few times, then says, “Nope!” Head tilt and smile this time.
* Right now I had to stop her from jumping off the side of the couch. She climbs up the side of the end table, onto the couch arm and counts to 3 to jump. I told her she could not do that. She says, “I can hop! Daddy let me. Watch!” Of course before I had time to get to her, she jumps! She’s a dare devil – no fear.
* She LOVES shoes. We have a book we read at night and as we turn each page, she says “Shoe lala!” She even checks out ladies shoes as we walk through stores and are out and about.
* She is in love with one of Josh’s best friends, Travis. At the ballpark, Jordonna will stand on her tiptoes and search the field for TaTa (that’s what she calls Travis) When she spots him she turns towards us, pushes her hair out of her face and in the most girly, giggly and in love voice says, “Mommy, I see Tata.” OH, help us!
* I love hearing her say, “I love you, Mommy!” and on my birthday she said, “Happy Birthday, Mommy.” She has the cutest voice!
* She adores her big bubba (and her little bubba – she has one of each. Josh is just Josh) I made them breakfast the other morning and she didn’t eat hers, so I took it with me to eat. She decided she wanted some so I shared. As I got down to the last few bites I ask Dylan if Jordonna is going to need more before I finish it. He says no she has plenty so I finished it. Sure enough, as I ate the last bite, she wants more. I let her know I didn’t have anymore. With her infamous head tilt, she says, “Bubba!” Guess what Bubba does – that’s right, gives her his last few bites of his breakfast. Yes, her brothers cater to her every beckon call.
* Okay, so I said that she calls Josh, Josh – doesn’t have a nickname for him. Not sure why. Josh says it’s because he’s too cool for anything but Josh. Dylan and Tony and many others, says he’s not cool enough to pull off Bubba. The debate continues. However, Josh does have a nickname that Jordonna gave him and she tells him every day as he gets out of the car at school. She yells, “Bye, Baby butt.” Where does she come up with this stuff!
* She talks NON-STOP when she is tired. My mom said today that she needs to talk more. Ummm, NOOO! She needs to talk more clearly on all the things she is saying, please not talk more.
* The other night on the way home from the store, my mom and I are talking. Jordonna is in the back seat telling me, “Mommy, talk to ME.”
* I love reading with Tony at night. She lays with us and when Tony sounds out unfamiliar words, Jordonna sounds them out too. She loves to read books – her favorite is Five Little Monkey’s Jumping on the Bed. Favorite part – No more jumping on the bed. She reads it, “no, no, no more jump!” Um, didn’t I just tell her the same thing?
* And as sad as it is, we are pretty sure she says, “Oh, $h1T!” Umm, Daddy!!!! This is our biggest battle right now.
Love you baby girl. You keep us on our toes!
