Tony woke up that morning unsure about going - it was pink, it was for girls. But after seeing a commercial for The Nutcracker, he asked, "is it like that?" YES! He was sold and excited.
Pink cupcakes with bright pink icing, pink punch, pink tulle, pink balloons, and so many little girls in pink. So much fun!
Jordonna has the finger thing going on - and so daintily holding onto her "tea cup." Just wait, this proper etiquette didn't last long.
Of course, Tony refused to dress up and of course never in pink. This is NOT what he wore to school. He came home and changed into his camo just for the show. He told me he needed to not blend in with any of those pink girls. HA!
Jordonna wanted her picture taken with her tea cup. She was so cute holding it close to her mouth for the picture.
And like I said, it all went to the wayside - mouth full of cupcake and icing everywhere!
Heading into the show! I didn't get any pictures inside the theater, but I wish I could have taken a picture of Jordonna during the show - she was so excited, had a smile on her face the entire time and sitting on the edge of her seat, interacting with the actors. Pinkalicious was so pink, her mommy and daddy lost her in the pink flowers. They asked the audience if anyone had seen Pinkalicious. Jordonna stood in her seat screaming, "Right there!" The most priceless moment of the evening was when Pinkalicious's brother came out at the end. He had snuck the pink cupcakes off the top of the fridge and ate them all. He woke up PINK! As soon as Tony saw Peter (the brother) covered in pink, Tony slaps his forehead and says, "Oh Peter - not pink!"The next morning, when I woke up the kids, I joked with them that they were pink. Jordonna opened her eyes, looked at her hands, looked down at her chest and said, "No I'm not! I only ate 2 cupcakes!" Made ya look! Tony, too!
Thanks Nonnie for taking us to the show. I know it is something the kids will remember.
