Today I am 32 weeks! Missing those first 2 1/2 months has really made this pregnancy go by so fast. We have put off preparing for this baby until the last few weeks. I finally picked out some outfits Thanksgiving weekend and actually purchased them instead of putting them back and telling myself "Oh I have time to get these later!" Most people would say, "You're having boy #4, don't you have most of what you need?" Yeah, one would think so, right? Not me! Let's think back to May...
I thought there was a possibility of me being pregnant, but a "little friend" showed up the last day of school. I had promised Tara and Rena I would take a test June 1 if "the friend" had not arrived. Since I wasn't pregnant (at least I didn't think so) the first week of summer, I packed up all of Tony's baby things (this would include: crib mattress, high chair, stroller, car seats, bouncers, and 6 tubs of baby boy clothes from newborn up to 2 years old) and donated them all to the church!
Lo and behold, I was pregnant while giving away EVERYTHING! Except we do have a crib. Thankfully, when I lent the crib to Jessica, she didn't use it, but stored it for me. Had she not stored it, I wouldn't have one of those either! We purchased a new car seat and stroller the day after Christmas. We have been buying packs of diapers with each of our weekly grocery trips and outfits here and there. This past week I picked up hooded towels and baby wash clothes. My mom has finished the baby's quilt and it is at the quilters. My husband is painting rooms (my room and the baby's) and the baby's dresser. We are getting there now that time is running out.
As for me, I (okay, my husband or the boys) have moved furniture to vacuum and clean behind. I have mopped and Clorox'ed everything in my house. I have scrubbed baseboards, cleaned out kitchen cabinets, rearranged them, and cleaned out the boys rooms also. My blinds are clean, windows are clean, and even my car is windexed, vacuumed, and washed! I even repotted my house plants that were needing some attention! Isn't 32 weeks a bit early to start nesting? I do tend to nest with each pregnancy, but it's always about 2-3 weeks before the baby comes...not 8!
Oh, by the way, Richard and I actually agree on a name!! No I didn't get my way...we still do not agree on Aron Carl :(, but we agree on Alec Carl Consilio. Now if you go and look it up on any of the baby name websites, Alec is English/Greek, but it is from Alexander. So, since the whole English/Greek thing is what is holding Richard back from totally settling on the name because it is not Italian, isn't Alexander? Close enough if you ask me... I want to know this baby's name already!
