It was a great July 4th weekend. Saturday we spent the evening at Mrs. Mary's swimming, enjoying wonderful BBQ, and sitting out front of their house in their street watching the fireworks. By the fireworks, Jordonna had fallen asleep in her Nonnie's arms. Sunday my mom had us over for dinner, so of course we spent time swimming in the river and then had BBQ chicken and delious sides! Monday was supposed to just be a relaxing day at home, but by that afternoon we just wanted something that involved water, so we bought everything for hotdogs and headed back out to my mom's house to swim and eat. One other 4th treat we enjoyed on the way to Nonnie's house - SNOWCONES. And let me just say my new favorite flavor is no longer Silver Fox or Tiger Blood - it is BLACKBERRY!!! So good and not very sweet so the snocone is actually refreshing.
This is not the best 4th picture, but I almost forgot to take one, so as they were getting in the car, they both turned around for me. This was all I could get from them. They wouldn't get out of the car - it was time for Nonnie's house, which by a 7 year old and 2 year old is more important than a picture!
Happy July 4th everyone and thank you to those who have fought and continue to fight for us to have our freedom.
