Meet Emily...

Sorry there are no pictures for this post because, well, Emily is Jordonna's imaginary friend. Today while I was painting Josh's closet, Jordonna came up and sat down in a chair in his room. Josh moved the beanbag chair and Jordonna said, "Hey, my friend is sitting there." We didn't really say anything until she went back downstairs and a few minutes returned and was telling us she was eating a pizza her friend had made her. We asked who her friend was... Emily. Emily? Yes Emily. And then we were told the whole story of how Emily was pretty and was her friend. Emily lives in Jordonna's refrigerator and makes pizza. Emily is nice. She likes Emily.

So we now have a new "friend" in the house. A friend - a real life friend - told me I should let Emily stay if she cooks - good point. I wasn't sure if 2 years old was too young for imaginary friends...guess not if she has one. How do they learn these things?

Emily reminded us of Dylan's friend Ace. Ace always rode in the car with us and Dylan would get so upset if we shut the door before Ace had the chance to get in. What I never understood was that once we were on the road was that Ace flew next to our car OUTSIDE. Why did we need to wait to shut the doors if Ace was just going to fly outside our car??? Imaginations are an incredible thing! So glad my kids have one.
