Happy Saturday!

I was awake by 7 this Saturday morning and decided since the kids were still asleep I would take advantage of the quite and finish up on some lingering emails. Later in the morning, all the kids were up and getting dressed so we could go to the County Fair parade.

The two little ones were beside themselves excited. The two older ones didn't give me troubles on going but from the picture you can tell how excited they were. LOL!

Jordonna was telling everyone that she was there to throw candy and see horses. Every horse that was ridden by a cowgirl meant Jordonna had to have her picture - one taken with her right in front of me and the horses too far away, but I was so happy that the cowgirls saw her excitement and would stop their horses so Jordonna could get her picture.

I was disappointed that there was only 1 band out of all the county schools and that one band was not marching, just walking, and they didn't even play! BOOOOO!!!!

Hearing their giggles at the clowns riding mini motorcylces would put a smile on anyone's face. Jordonna took this picture of the giant black poodle that she called a cow...HA!

Saturday afternoon, I had some quite time to myself while Tony was at a friends, and Jordonna was playing with her dollhouse. I decided to finally sew the covers for my sewing machine and Cricut. Since I don't use my sewing machine as often as I'd like (which I need to do more of so I can learn how to use it better) I really need a cover to protect if from all the dust. I had found some on Pinterest I liked - one being reversible, one from a dish towel -I was going for the reversible, but in the end decided I really wanted some ribbon and flower embellishments. I did have coordinating fabric so the Cricut got the stripes while the sewing machine got the dots. They turned out really cute - I think.

Saturday evening we surprised Roger at Beef's for his 40th birthday. Spending the evening with friends, yummy cake, and throwing 40 in Roger's face with lots of his favorite things made for a fun evening. Rowena has all the party pictures on her camera. They are safe there with all the other 100's from the past 3 yrs. At least I know where to go and get them.

And FYI - Friday evening I spent the evening with some girlfriends and was introduced to Scentsy. I'd like to know where I've been the past few years. I love this thing! I can't wait until my larger one comes in so I don't have to share with my kitchen and bathroom. I won a block of scents for knowing my dear friend Liz the best. So Scentsy has a new fan.

As this nice, cool weather comes in, I'm hoping it is here to stay. I don't mind being outside, except all summer no mosquitoes and guess what we have now. UGH!! So off I go to wrap up this week and perhaps find some time again this weekend to have a bit of relaxation to enjoy the days off from work.
